Door Automation
Automatic doors, gates and barriers are a specialism of ours. They combine mechanical, electrical and safety work, and when they fail they usually take an entrance out of use — so we cover repairs as well as installation and planned servicing.
Door Automation work we take on
- Automatic sliding and swing pedestrian doors
- Electric gates and rising barriers
- Roller shutters
- Safety sensor set-up and adjustment
- Planned servicing and safety checks
- Breakdown repair and parts replacement
Door Automation — questions we get asked
How often should an automatic door be serviced?
Powered pedestrian doors are covered by BS EN 16005, which expects them to be safety-checked at regular intervals by a competent person — commonly every six months for doors in public use. Regular checks also catch worn parts before they strand you with a door that will not open.
Our automatic door has stopped working — can you repair it rather than replace it?
Nearly always, yes. Most call-outs turn out to be sensors, controls or worn running gear rather than the whole unit. We diagnose first and tell you what it needs.
Do you cover gates and barriers as well as doors?
Yes — electric gates, rising barriers and roller shutters, on both commercial and residential sites.
