Only what you choose to send us. If you use the enquiry form, that is your name, phone number, email address, the service you selected and whatever you write in the message box. If you call or email instead, we hold whatever that exchange contains. We do not buy contact data, and we do not ask for payment details through this site.

We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry, quote for the work and — if you go ahead — carry it out and keep the records that go with it. The lawful basis is normally steps taken at your request before entering a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us. Where we must keep records for certification or safety purposes, the basis is our legal obligation. We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to.

• Our hosting provider. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and abuse prevention.
• Our form provider. Enquiry form submissions are delivered to our inbox through a third-party form service, which processes the message in transit.
• Our analytics provider. Cloudflare Web Analytics processes the page views described below on our behalf. It is cookieless and does not track visitors between sites.
• Content delivery networks. Fonts and scripts load from Google Fonts and unpkg. Those providers receive your IP address and browser details as a normal part of serving the files.

We do not sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers, so there is nothing for you to consent to or dismiss.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It is deliberately chosen because it works without cookies and without following you between websites: it records the page you viewed, the site you arrived from, and general details like your browser, device type and country. It does not build a profile of you, and it cannot identify you.

Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted within 12 months. Where we have carried out work, we keep the job record and any certification for as long as required for safety, warranty and tax purposes — typically six years.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we're using it. Email info@dawsonsltd.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
